Conductor Training

TWSO Conductor Training Course

The aim of the programme is to offer a professional and supportive learning atmosphere in which participants can develop their conducting skills, and also to provide a forum for conductors to meet and exchange ideas. The programme, which is led by Rupert D’Cruze, Musical Director of TWSO, is particularly for conductors working with instrumental groups such as bands and orchestras in schools and also with youth and adult groups in the community. There will be much of interest to choral directors as well, and the course will be particularly helpful for those who find themselves having to conduct without having received previous conducting training.

Feedback from participants at recent conducting courses:

“I found the course to be very rewarding and exceedingly helpful.

“The course content and the expectation of each individual was expertly tailored to their experience level.”

“This course was highly successful. The small class size was effective as it allowed each person to have several opportunities to practice. The tuition was effective and I don’t think any of us felt that we were under any pressure”.
